Momentum

Perhaps I'm not fully committed to naming this piece, "Momentum", but that is what it is for now. It is a collograph also done on a plexiglass plate using carborundum as the 'tooth' to hold the ink. The ink used here is the Akua water based intaglio ink. I should also mention that two plates were used; the second one is a monotype (that would be the turquoise color that you see). Nothing fancy...it was an excercise for me in exploration of using these techniques together.

Untitled...

This is a collograph done on a plexiglass plate. The "tooth" imparted to the plate to hold the ink is a grit called carborundum. You also see some stenciled leaves done by way of a monotype method. I don't have a title for this one to date, as it doesn't feel done and the inspiration to complete the piece has not struck me yet. The inks used here are the water-based intaglio inks (they are non toxic) called Akua.
