Shhhhh.....sneak peak at the 2011 Oaxaca Shrine

I think I am getting closer and closer to being done with this year's Oaxaca Street Children Shrine (an on line, grass roots auction to benefit the street children in Oaxaca).

And the front of the box looks like this (close up):

The pattern is one of those wooden textile stamps that is on four pieces of hand made paper. I like how it looks like tile...had to do some additional hand painting to get that effect.

 

Here's the non-profit site and here is the site that hosts this on line auction. All monies raised from the sale of the Shrines go directly to the project. The artists do not take a cut at all!
