February 2011 Art Show at BECA

I am pleased to announce that I will be in the February BECA Show:

(Seated Shadow, 8" x 10" mixed media)

The BECA Foundation presents the 2nd Annual non-juried International Exhibition of New Art + New Design.

BECA: Bridge for Emerging Contemporary Art
312 Rosemont Ave, NE
Albuquerque, NM

Opening Reception: Friday, February 4, 2011 from 5 – 8pm during Albuquerque’s First Friday ArtsCrawl.

Closing Reception: Friday, February 18, 2011 from 5-8 pm during Albuquerque's Third Friday ArtsCrawl.

The purpose of this non-juried experimental, group exhibition is to broaden exhibition opportunities and to discover and highlight new approaches by emerging contemporary artists, architects + designers as well as those who are more established but are stretching their work into unfamiliar territory. This exhibition provides an open opportunity in which to experiment freely. Through Lab AD, the BECA Foundation is bringing together works by artists, architects + designers from around the world. Many artists + designers participating in Lab AD will be exhibiting their works of art + design here within the United States for the very first time.

What is BECA? BECA is an acronym for Bridge for Emerging Contemporary Art and the core belief system at The BECA Foundation is that “New art + new design fuels the best of what’s yet to come on this planet.” With a growing international BECA network now numbered above 30,000, it is more important than ever for BECA to ensure that in addition to hosting the physical exhibition, that the aforementioned selection of works by the 20 featured artists, architects + designers be made available online at www.BECAICAD.org for those who are unable to attend in person.

B E C A is entering their 4th year of international public arts programming dedicated to creating exhibition and related opportunities to BOTH emerging artists AND emerging designers from around the world (assisting approximately 300 emerging artists + designers to date)!  Please  help spread the word regarding the campaign launch for the new BECA ICAD large scale, international exhibition facility: http://www.indiegogo.com/BECA-ICAD-International-Center-for-Art-and-Design
